When life throws curveballs, it’s easy to strike out. But one of our Youth Service clients showed us what true resilience looks like. Despite a mountain of setbacks—from COVID to family issues and ID hurdles—this young Kiwi was laser-focused on one goal: his learner driver’s licence.
With a bit of grit, and a whole lot of encouragement from our team, he not only sat the test but aced it. The moment the result came through, emotions flooded in. He dropped to his knees, a mix of tears, shakes, and uncontainable joy overwhelming him.
For someone constantly told he’d amount to nothing, this was more than a licence—it was a hard-fought ticket to adulthood and self-reliance.
